Printmaking at East Surrey College
This week, our Year 10 Art students were treated to two printmaking workshops run by East Surrey College. They explored printing with stencils, reductive monoprints and even printing with ironed crisp packets!
Our students learnt how to operate machinery safely in the print room, use huge etching presses and experiment with oil based printing inks.
We were also privileged to have a guided tour of East Surrey Colleges Annual Art Exhibition. We were amazed by the incredible variety of high quality work on display. Many of our students found works they could relate to or could be used to inspire their own future artwork.
The Year 10’s created some beautiful work to bolster their GCSE portfolios, represented the school brilliantly and had fun whilst doing so! A huge thank you to Mrs Harkness for organising the trip, Mr Tunbridge for leading it and Mrs Walton for all of her support on it.
