Head of School's Welcome
I am proud to be the Head of School at Merstham Park where I am privileged to be able to work with such exceptional students and staff. Merstham Park is a unique, community school where our values of inclusion, collaboration, resilience, respect and success are embodied and lived by all.
Merstham Park is a truly great school, where staff work hard to support students and provide them with a culturally rich learning environment to ensure that our children leave with the very best outcomes. This includes not only academic success, but also those personal, memorable experiences that enable them to go forward in life as successful citizens with exciting choices ahead of them.
Collaboration is a key element of success, and we are passionate about working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that all can thrive within our community. An important aspect of this is our belief in the strength of inclusion as a strong community respects and values its diversity, allowing all members to find their niche, feel supported and be able to flourish.
Visitors to the school often remark on the family-feeling they immediately recognise when meeting our community. This warm and welcoming atmosphere, alongside our new state-of-the-art facilities, are just some of the reasons why we are a vibrant school with students excited to be here. Our modern classrooms, well-equipped science laboratories, and cutting-edge technology provide an ideal environment for innovative teaching and learning. Additionally, our extensive sports facilities, creative arts spaces, and inviting communal areas offer students numerous opportunities to explore their interests and develop new talents. Parents always tell us that they are happy with the school, and over 94% of parents would recommend MPS to another parent.
Our curriculum is broad, ambitious and inclusive, designed to support the needs and interests of our students. Curriculum means any opportunity to learn; at Merstham Park, we are fully committed to offering those experiences and opportunities outside of the timetabled lessons, enabling our students to expand their horizons, through clubs, trips and other exciting events. These opportunities are designed to build confidence, foster resilience, and cultivate a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s a local excursion, a cultural visit abroad, or participating in school competitions and performances, our students benefit from a holistic approach to education that prepares them for the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community. If you have any questions or would like to visit our school, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are excited to share the Merstham Park experience with you and your child.
