Fantastic GCSE results at Merstham Park School
As Headteacher, I am absolutely delighted with the outcomes our students have achieved. Not only have they secured our best-ever Grade 5 and above results in English and maths, improving by more than 3 percentage points on last year, but they have also achieved our highest-ever pass rate in English and record-breaking results across a range of subjects including Drama, Design & Technology, Food Technology, PE, Geography and History.
These results represent far more than grades alone. They reflect years of hard work, resilience, determination and personal growth. Every student has their own story, and I have been incredibly proud to watch this year group develop into confident, ambitious young people who have embraced opportunities and persevered when faced with challenges.
There have been some truly exceptional individual achievements. Congratulations to:

- Gabe: 6 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
- George: 3 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7

- Hannah: 6 Grade 8s and 3 Grade 7s
- Ewura: 1 Grade 9, 3 Grade 8s and 5 Grade 7s
While we are delighted to celebrate these outstanding achievements, I am equally proud of every single student in the year group. Whether they have achieved the highest grades or overcome personal challenges to reach their next destination, each student has much to be proud of today. Most importantly, these results open doors. We are excited to see our students take their next steps into sixth forms, colleges, and apprenticeships, and we look forward to hearing about their future successes.
I would also like to thank our dedicated staff and supportive families. The partnership between school and home has played a crucial role in helping our students succeed, and these results are testament to the collective effort of everyone involved.
