GCSE Drama Trip
This afternoon, our Year 10 and 11 GCSE Drama students went to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford to watch 1984.
The novel by George Orwell, adapted by Ryan Craig for stage, tells the story of a world where every action is monitored and controlled by a powerful regime where independent thought and choice are relics of an almost-forgotten past.
The multi-media elements in this production were really creative and the acting was superb. This meant that the performance was really engaging and the students behaved impeccably throughout, representing our school extremely well. I have been told how impressed the theatre staff were by our students and that they are looking forward to welcoming us back in the future.
