Year 9 visit the Imperial War Museum

On Tuesday 10 May 2022, our Year 9 students visited the Imperial War Museum in London. We travelled up to central London to spend the day learning about aspects of World War 1, World War 2 and the post-World War 2 era. 

Students were able to learn about real life war heroes from across the world, look at real-life artefacts and participate in active learning that depicted what life was like during the war time era. We literally felt what it was like to be inside a trench, an Anderson shelter, and a life-like bunker! 

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day out - especially when trying on army uniforms - and were a credit to Merstham Park School.
