Year 7 National Gallery Trip
On Tuesday 23 November 2021, Mrs Harkness along with the Year 7 Learning Mentor team, and our fantastic support staff took the whole of year 7 to London to The National Gallery. It was lovely to take a coach ride through central London and see some of the sights en route to the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. The students have been learning about Still Life and Art movements in their lessons, focusing on shape, form, colour and detail. The curator talk allowed students to put their knowledge skills to the test and view how some of our great masters have tackled using the formal elements in their Artworks. The curators were very informative about key pieces of Art, and the students impressed them with how inquisitive they were! We all had a great day, and it was lovely to be back in the gallery space and experiencing a little bit more of "normality". Thank you to all our staff and students who made the day so special.
