Year 11 Art visit to the Wallace Collection and Moco Museum
Year 11 art students visited the Wallace Collection and Moco museum in London as part of their ESA work for their GCSE.
We started at the Wallace collection where students were given a 2 hour sketching workshop by a resident artist who described the group as ‘’All incredibly able’’ and said that they were ‘’the best group we’ve had all year’’. The work completed during the workshop will be included in students' portfolios.
We then walked over to the Moco Museum, located on the corner of Marble arch, and students got to see work by some of the best modern and contemporary artists, including Keith Haring, Banksy and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Students also made notes and drawings of the work they saw at Moco to support their coursework in preparation for their exams at the end of next month.
Students were impeccably well-behaved, polite and an absolute credit to the school.
