MPS visit Oxford University
Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an enriching visit to St. Hilda's College, Oxford University. The day unfolded with a captivating campus tour, immersing our students in the historical charm of Oxford's renowned institution.
Dr. Matty Hoban, Lecturer of Computer Science, hosted an engaging academic taster session. Using thought provoking activities, our students delved into the fascinating world of computer science, weighing up the benefits, and cautionary tales, of AI and quantum computing.
A highlight of the visit was a targeted presentation that explored the significance of higher education. The session offered a glimpse into life at the University of Oxford as well as practical advice on subjects and grades needed for university admission. Both topics empowered our students to set their very own ambitious academic goals.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Hoban and the St. Hilda's College team for their warm welcome and contribution to our students' educational journey.
