Yemen Exhibit at MPS
Oxfam Schools Speak Out
Merstham Park School was provided the opportunity to showcase the photo exhibit “Yemen: A Story of Hope & Resilience". We were the first school in the UK to showcase the exhibit and the students were very aware of what a privilege it was to have had this opportunity.
The exhibit tells the stories of Eman, Nazrah, Yasmin, Fawzia, Anad, Razigah, and Anesa. They are seven Yemeni women who continue to live their lives in the shadow of the ongoing conflict. This exhibition was designed to be an easy campaigning tool to share their stories. Select classes had a chance to learn about the conflict, explore the exhibit and then write a postcard to our MP, Crispin Blunt. We later hand delivered these postcards to him to read and take action on.
