GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Westminster Trip for Send My Friend

On Monday 3 July 2023, Mariya and Olivia had the opportunity to go to Westminster to speak to Crispin Blunt, our local MP about all the work they have been doing this year in partnership with Send My Friend. 

They had a private tour of Westminster and had the chance to sit in on discussions in the House of Commons. Afterwards, they had a meeting with Crispin Blunt to raise their concerns about education in emergencies and call on his action. Mr Blunt was impressed with the students’ passion and knowledge of the topic. He was also impressed with all the work they have done so far for the campaign. 

Well done to both students for representing MPS so well, and to Miss Scholz for organising the venture.
