The YMCA came into MPS to run a series of workshops about wellbeing and happiness for our Year 7 students. Amongst other things, they learnt that exercise and working together as a team increases dopamine in our bodies and makes us feel good. In The Steps to Wellbeing Wisdom workshop, students learnt simple self-care techniques, helping them to build resilience and boost their wellbeing. The students also took part in role-play scenarios, allowing them to practice how they can access support and what they can do if they have concerns about another student’s wellbeing. These photos show the students working together to reproduce a chair, a tree and a building. They all did brilliantly. Many thanks to Annabel and everyone at the YMCA for supporting our students. They had a great day.
