Instrumental Lessons
With the new term in full swing, the Music Department has been busy with students starting their instrumental tuition in piano and guitar. Students have been learning a series of instrumental techniques and pieces from composers such as Scott Joplin and AC/DC. Students have been enjoying learning new musical skills, or returning to an instrument they started learning at primary school or during lockdown.
There are many benefits to studying a musical instrument. Apart from consolidating the concepts learned in Music lessons, learning an instrument has been shown to improve non-verbal communication, confidence and self-esteem, fine motor skills and overall mental health and wellbeing.
Our tuition is run by Surrey Arts and we will be looking to expand our range of instruments offered in the future, so if there is an instrument you are interested in learning that we don’t yet offer, then please get in touch either with Surrey Arts directly or speak to the Music Department.
